In retaliation, Iran carried out missile and drone strikes aimed at US interests in multiple countries in the region, including Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Iraq. Jordan’s military reported intercepting 10 ballistic missiles launched from Iran, with three additional missiles landing in remote areas without causing casualties or directly hitting the US military training facility. Iran also claimed responsibility for attacks on a US base near Erbil in Iraq, while missile and drone activity was noted in Kuwait, and air-raid sirens were activated in Bahrain.

Following the escalation, oil prices have surged, and Iran has issued warnings that it could obstruct oil exports from the Gulf if the US increases military or economic pressure.
